Saturday lunch

Dear team, I am now feeling a bit more human. Yesterday was a bit rough to say the least but the nurses have been amazing in making me feel as good as I can. Thank you all who have sent flowers...my room looks like a florist.i love it!  I have slept a lot which is great. Today Tony and the kids have come in which has brightened my day as well.
For now I just want to thank you being such wonderful support at this time. Love you all.
Ps-my phone is still not working but hopefully that will be rectified soon.....

  3. Hello Laurice We are so happy to hear your spirits are higher today. After spending several hours writing posts over the last few days I have come to the conclusion that iphones suck and don't work with blogs. Please if anyone else reads this and they have got it working on an iphone I don't want to know. I already feel so stupid. Just please let me believe that I am smart enough for today. Anyway...
We are packed and ready for whenever you need us to fly down and help out with anything. Even painting the house!
Something to cheer Tony up. Oh wait maybe it just made me laugh. Jason Akermanis has tipped the Hawks to win the flag this year. Ahhhh he makes me laugh....
On a more serious note Tony just remember you can't carry all the weight of the family on your shoulders. To stay strong for LT you need rest also. Please don't hesitate to give the green light and I will be down there.
LT don't even think about trying to get hold of a lap top. We have our spies everywhere. You need your rest so you can absorb all the love and best wishes that everyone is sending you. Get well we love you.
    Steve and Ronja xoxoxoxo

  5. LT, So lovely to see the family! Your core support team! Tony, Keeley and Zac. Priceless! After three attempts on my mobile devices, plural, I agree with Ronja that mobile devices are not blog friendly! Keep well, rest as you will need your strength to give it all you've got (which is alot!) and come out fighting tomorrow. I only wish we weren't a physical world apart. You know I'm there in spirit and love. Denny would be popping the cork; I would be pouring...alright...yes...and imbibing with my friend. Rest well and know you are so loved. You have all of us, all round the globe, united in positive thoughts and love. With peace and prayer. And so looking forward to the next positive blog note (Tony...you are priceless on your own!) With love, DAV

  10. Dearest(!!!)Laurice, [the salutation is per command of Fu Sing]

A SLOW Relaxing Saturday morning here. Possibly quite different for you in the hospital recovering after undergoing surgery. Have been learning about Google Blogger this morning. TuTu got some books at the library (the way old people learn) and I've been reading, then playing on the computer last evening and this morning. Seems there is some headway being made, AND after the fact I see that if I'd just have done what Google tried to get me to do automatically (sign up for a blog of my own and add your blog URL to my Reading list) I'd have been able to send comments gracefully from the beginning. I still can't handle the "cute" little anti-robot typographical letter and number combinations well, and they get me all tensed up each time they're required with the FEAR THAT I'LL FAIL god forbid.

We've been thinking of you everyday throughout the week since we learned of your challenge. We know this is a difficult time for you and the whole family. The picture of Keeley, Tony, and Zach in their Team Laurice t-shirts was lovely and bucked us up quite a bit as we're sure it does you.

Since Fu Sing has twice undergone similar challenges, we're (especially she is) are somewhat aware of the trauma of surgery and the recovery therefrom. FST first survived 5 years beyond the initial breast cancer only to learn of the sarcome cancer. She's now survived that by 12 years. We feel terrifically fortunate for her having achieved these survival numbers and look forward to seeing you this summer. TuTu and you can WOW all beachcombers, passersby, and family in your bikinis.

Eagerly await your next post especially the pictures!

    PopPop and TuTu

  12. Hi Laurice,

I'm so happy to see you in the photos, out of surgery and surrounded by love and good wishes! I'm there with you in spirit and I send you much love. I have to admit now that I wish your phone was working, because you know how sometimes I need to hear your voice. :-)

I have to agree with Ronja and your dad, this blogging is new for me and has made me question my abilities a few times, and I get nervous each time I have to prove I'm not a robot, because a lot of times, I don't know what those words are and when I turned on the audio for it to say the words, it did so in Arabic! LOL!

    Much love,
    Sharon

  13. Hi Laurice,
You were so calm, relaxed and rested Saturday evening, we were blown over. Your room does look like a florist's shop, and the cuddly toys add to the picture; all are a tribute to how much you are loved and supported. We were so happy to share this time with you.
Lots of love from Grandad and Grandmere.
P.S. let us know when the dozen of Veuve Cliquot runs out. How did you manage to convince the nurses to put it in your IV drip?

  14. Hi Laurice
It is testament to your style that you have a) organised a way for us all to keep in touch which is marvellous. You can also take the credit for taking a dinosaur into the era of blogging!!! and b) made a very postive impact on the people who are caring for you. Tony and Z and K (Team Laurice)- thank you for making the contact available to us.

The Ab Fabbers send you much love and positive energy. All will be in touch separately.

Wedding plans are well in train - just trying not to run out of puff before the grand day!! There is a vague possibility that we will all scrub up pretty well!

Will be in soon lovely. I hope that you feel better and that the VC is kicking in. I have heard morphine works well too!

    Much love Joanna
