Reflections

As I take time to reflect ... I like to read through quotes from others.  Here are a couple quotes that I have reflected upon in the past week:

There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time.

Malcolm X

All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.

Walt Disney

  1. Hi Laurice,

One of my favourite quotes - "dream deferred" by by Langston Hughes:

What happens to a dream deferred?

    Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
    Or fester like a sore—
    And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
    Or crust and sugar over—
    like a syrupy sweet?

    Maybe it just sags
    like a heavy load.

    Or does it explode?

    Cheers,

    Henry
